The one with the inappropriate job interview

Final yr is tricky territory 4 an engineering student....u r buzy tryin 2 get a job,tryin 2 somehow complete a project(thanks wikipedia) n managin somehow not 2 get a back(not to go below 9.99 cgpa 4 gmats...hehe...srry no offence meant ;)) n yet u feel sad tht 1 yr from now u wud b out in the cruel corporate world fightin desperately to build a career in places u hv never ever been n wats worse u wud most probably be minus ur best pal ;( let aside ur family...u will definitely miss ur college lyf there is no question about it...n so u try 2 enjoy ur last yr in d college...u try living lyk u r a convict who is on death roll n der is no 2morrow...n wen u get a job...it just gets better :)

My final yr began mid summer when a strong rumor started 2 build up in NITR tht AMAZON will b the 1st company recruiting this yr with a fat paycheck of 10lpa...the figure itself startled many coz this kind of salary was never seen b4 in NITR...all the CS guyz wer in 7th heaven n many of them even started "rehearsin" 4 the "mega event"....CS has never been my cup of tea n at 10lpa we wer talkin serious money which meant AMAZON was gonna take d best so i was happy wid the proceedings but was least bothered.....

came August,the month india became independent....but we still wern't coz no matter who u r,if u don't have a job u cant say urself 2 b independent...the big boss AMAZON was postponed instead another giant ORACLE was lined up....the xcitement returned but was soon killed by the fact tht it was just a normal company :(....meanwhile months of bad food habits showed its results....i was down with Typhoid n it cudn't hv been worse a strt 2 the final yr....suddenly in an interestin turn of events with just a few hours to go 4 the written test,people got 2 know tht ORACLE was now a dream company with its package nearly doubled of wat was told earlier....some of my frends who earlier thot of givin it a miss now wer seen desperately undergoin last moment preps so as to write the test...i too left the bed,gulped 2-3 pills n was somehow up to atleast go 4 the test depsite concerns 4m mom... yes i was sufferin 4m fever n mom's r lyk tht only but it was the 1st chnce i was gettin n no fever was to stop me(it might hv been the medicine coz i m not lyk tht ;D)....so i went to write the xam,screwed up,came back n lyf was abnormal again...damn it typhoid cudn't u hv waited 4 a month or so?

nxt in line was SAMSUNG electronics limited,another giant but with a smaller package....by this tym i was kinda recovered but wasn't sure i wanted it coz it was a "just dream" company which meant if i got it i wouldn't be allowed to sit 4 nothin less than a super dream company which was a rarity of sort....i found many of my frends in the same sort of dilemma but we all sat 4 it....i left everything 2 god....i decided not to put my best foot forward n c what happens..frends if u wanna screw a job interview politely without sounding suspicious i wud give u a sureshot mantra....tell the interviewer these magic words "i wanna go for mba at some time in my career"...yes these magical words will definitely put u out of contention n so it was 4 me...the interviewer then asked me somethin 4 which he never wud hv xpected such an answer 4m anyone...he asked me if i wanted to ask him somethin.....i had decided to be completly honest n not put on a politically correct face 1)coz i wasn't very much interested 2)it was an xperiment of sort to c wat not to say in an interview b4 i face any bigger interviews in my lyf(read CAT,MICROSOFT big dreams but worth a try ;D)....the question which came 4m me...i bet the interviewer never xpected such a question...frends to know about the question u have to go into flashback mode wid me

durin the summer my samsung phone developed some sort of problem...it was within its warranty period so i took it to an authorized samsung service centre...the service centre guys kept delayin the repair work n eventually after waitin 4 2 months my patience ran out...i filed a complaint on the official website of samsung...even then i got no reply,i tried callin them but to no good...i felt cheated...not bcoz my phone was damaged but coz a company which i thot was one of the best didn't care about its customers...an anger built inside me against the company n i sought vengeance ;D

back 2 d present...the hr wanted 2 know if i had ne questions 4 him....may be it was my desire to xperiment tht day or somethin else but i asked him d question which i now remember wid frends n we all laugh at it...i asked him "sir y does samsung not respond to my complaints!!!??"

i bet he was startled...he was actin casually thruout the interview but suddenly he was interested...i told him all about the incident regardin my phone...he xplained me how der system works n how sorry he was...he even told me he wud talk with their service dept...n we both shared a hearty laugh... i walked out of the interview n now i thot how silly a question was tht n how inappropriate!!!...the night was over...many of my good frends wer placed in the company n as xpected i wasn't one of them....neways i kicked some a**,got tr8s but still was embaressed by tht question....i mean who on earth asks such a question in a job interview!!!...but it wasnt worthless....my complaints were later answered n though i know tht interviewer had little 2 do wid it...i felt proud tht though foolish,i followed my heart n once shunned the politically correct mask to do somethin mad...to do somethin which made my 1st job interview a thing to remember my whole lyf :)
